Gemma and Jonny’s Millbridge Court wedding was absolutely beautiful. Think foliage, a loud football-loving wedding party, naturally-lit everything and lots of giggles. How about that for a wedding?!
I met Gemma and Jonny at our church, Hillsong, and our client meeting was so much fun. I immediately knew we would be friends and that I wanted to shoot their Millbridge Court wedding. Connecting with couples and becoming friends with them is something I value and not just being another wedding vendor. Side note – your wedding photographer is going to be with you all day. You may as well like them!
So arriving at the venue, everyone was in their good moods and ready for a wedding. Lots of fun and jitters getting ready in the lead up. When we finally got to the ceremony, Gemma led her vows with, “I, Jonny” 😂. Ben Bluemel led the message beautifully and we got around to taking photos with the couple at Frensham Little Ponds – they embraced it all and just had a whole bunch of fun. When we arrived, the wedding party went crazy and started waving their napkins – almost as if they were in a football game; oh I do love something fun and different! Fun wedding parties make all the difference. The speeches were moving and hilarious. Jonny’s dad wrote him a song and played it and I could barely contain my own tears.
The best man’s speech was hilarious, and the sisters’ speeches were so cute. So they danced the night away, fed some cows, and just had the day of their lives. No stress, just love and laughter.
