I met Laura & Dave last year through my husband. Laura serves on Greenlight London Charity, and she said she was still looking for a photographer. We got together for a coffee (actually more like a freakshake from Cereal Killers in Shoreditch!) Immediately we became friends! Laura is a sweetheart, she’s got such a warm heart. She told me about her wedding day, and asked me to be a part of her London wedding. We decided to do an engagement shoot last year, which you can find on my blog, and then we waited for this year to come.
Finally, July arrived and her wedding day was here. We had some fun doing bridesmaids photos in the morning, and then we headed off to the venue. Laura had already started getting emotional about the day which was so sweet. But as soon as she walked down the aisle with her dad, you could see the emotions rolling out. I absolutely love it when all the emotions come out – the photos come out so special. After the ceremony, we went off to a nearby park to do some couples’ photos. We didn’t have much scenery to play around with, so I really had to tap into their emotions. Laura’s laugh is contagious, and as Dave told her what he thought of her coming down the aisle, a tear started coming down, to which was such a special moment.
We went back to the venue for their reception, and when the speeches started, they were filled with laughter and happy tears. They danced the night away along with their guests and it really was a lovely emotional wedding. I love being able to capture emotions and love stories throughout wedding days. There are such sweet moments that can forever burn in your heart and in pictures. I love that.
