Sarah & Niall had a travel themed wedding – of which they stuck to so well by having their ceremony and reception in two different countries!
Niall is a pilot for a well-known airline, and so Sarah thought it would be the perfect theme to have. The ceremony was held in a small parish in Northern Ireland. After the ceremony, we headed down to Ireland for the reception. (Talk about an awesome wedding, being held in two countries!) With their theme being a ‘travel’ wedding, I think they got off to a good start! We arrived at Tankardstown House. Gated, and driving in on a long winding road lined by Irish trees that curved over, leading to the front of the house. Walking inside, greeted by scones and a warm fire. Candles lit everywhere, the cosiest atmosphere. We had to check into our rooms, which turned out to be cottages. Sharing with a bridesmaid, Nathan’s mom, and a few others, the cottage was absolutely lovely. If you ever happen to find yourself in Ireland, I cannot recommend this place more. One of the most wonderful uniquely charming places I’ve ever stayed. So after checking in, we headed out to the garden for some tea/coffee and scones, so fabulously british it’s crazy. To all my American friends out there, yes, British people are tea and scone enthusiasts, but dang it, they do it so well! I never thought I’d like tea and scones moving here but they’ve roped me in. Awaiting the arrival of Sarah and Niall, they arrived fashionably late, but boy did they arrive in style! Now off to reception it is! Walking in, you’re greeted by wonderful bamboo chairs, and the scene is like it jumped right off a Pinterest board. Such a beautiful wedding, unique to Sarah & Niall, I’m so happy I got the chance to do their photos.
